SH email to Theosophical Society, Sept 9, 2014

Dear Mr. Nesky -

The esoteric teacher, the late Richard Rose, began his speaking career with a talk at the Theosophical Society in Pittsburgh in July 1972, and he returned to speak to your organization an unknown number of times in subsequent years.

Bio at Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Rose_(mystic)

Do you maintain an archive or otherwise keep information on past activities and speakers?

I'm involved in a restoration/preservation project on the works of Mr Rose, attempting to collect any historical information on him that's available - while it still exists.

Dates he spoke at your meetings, identified so far, are as below, and the topics generally had to do with some aspect of what Mr Rose called "Zen" - but it was an esoteric form and unlike mainstream Zen

July 1972 (as above) - probably on Zen

September 8, 1974 - unknown title

December 2, 1976 - informal talk

And there may be a few more.

Searchable terms would be Richard Rose, Zen, Absolute, Direct-Mind, Miracles, Psychology, Philosophy, Albigen Papers, Albigen System, TAT Society, Wheeling, Benwood, Moundsville, Farm.

(He also spoke at the Theosophical Society in Akron a couple times during that era.)

Do you have a historian, an old timer or maybe a librarian, who could search your records for any occurrence of Mr Rose?

Any information you would be able to share from your archives would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I have a trove of information on Mr Rose to share if you're interested.

Thanks very much.
