Robert J. Martin
Robert J. Martin, 84, passed away Jan. 6 [2003] in Trexlertown, Pa.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jack (killed in World War II) and Hazel Martin, and son, Roland M. Martin.
Born in North Canton, he graduated from North Canton High School and attended Ohio State, with a major in engineering. He was locally employed by B.F. Goodrich and Tanksley Inc. in Cleveland.
Robert leaves behind former wife, Mary A. Martin of Cuyahoga Falls; children, Christina Shaffer (Dennis) of Akron, Ohio, Andrew Martin (Sue) of Lexington, Ky., Richard Martin (Brenda) of Cuyahoga Falls, Robert Martin (Mary) of Milford, Mass., Elizabeth Brown (Gary) of Cuyahoga Falls, Margaret Morgan (William) of Rootstown, Kathleen Weahry (Timothy) of Cuyahoga Falls, Rebecca Wilson (Brady) of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Jean Murphy (Brian) of Mogadore, Ohio. He also leaves 38 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Any memorial donations may be made in his name to your favorite charity. A memorial service will be held Jan. 19 at 4 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at the Evangel Temple in Akron, Ohio. Cremation has taken place.
